As one of the most eco-friendly transportation systems in Greece, it is projected to reduce 57,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually by providing a cleaner and more efficient alternative to car travel. This aligns perfectly with global goals for reducing environmental impact and enhancing urban quality of life.

Spanning nearly 20 years of development, this fully automated system is capable of carrying 18,000 passengers per hour per direction. It not only revolutionizes transportation in Thessaloniki but also serves as a model for other cities aiming to modernize and decarbonize their transit systems.
